Katie Poorman Statement of interest: As a current member of DePaul's Graduate Women in Business, and having attended and benefited from GWB events, I would be honored to further my service to the organization, the marketing profession, the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and the women of DePaul as the VP of Marketing/PR for GWB. Program/concentration and year of expected graduation: MBA in Marketing Management; expected graduation March/June 2011 Description of current job: I am currently a Senior Marketing Solution Consultant with the Tribune Media Group (TMG), within the Advertiser Marketing department, reporting to the Strategic Marketing Manager. I came across this position through a GWB networking lunch, and as such am forever grateful to GWB's events and opportunities. As a Senior Marketing Solution Consultant, I lead the Travel & Entertainment sector, partnering with the TMG sales team to develop consumer-insight driven solutions for Tribune customers. Managing the day-to-day work on developing solutions, I lead the Tribune IMC Strategic Roadmap process for my assigned accounts -- ranging from local theaters, museums and sporting events, to national movie studios and attractions. In my role as senior marketing consultant, I also develop and maintain all materials, both internal and client-facing, including core product sheets; media kits; presentations; and newsletters.
